Kilcock GAA Club follows theGive Respect Get Respect initiative which seeks to ensure that Gaelic Games are promoted and played in a positive, fair and enjoyable manner where everyone - players, coaches, spectators and referees Give Respect & Get Respect from each other.
Now that adult, juvenile and Go Games matches are in full swing, please remember that everyone both ON & OFF the pitch should abide by the Give Respect Get Respect principles:
Players should not be shouted at, or criticised. A positive sideline delivers better on-field decisions.
Respect ALL Referees as without them we have no games. In our Go Games we need to be mindful that the underage referees are children too. Don’t allow anyone to abuse them. Call it out.
Team Coaches & Mentors are volunteers, not paid professionals. Support them, don’t criticise them, and don’t undermine them in front of players or parents. Remember our '48 Hour Rule' (see below)
Coaches and Mentors lead by example andset the positive tone for all.
Parents/Guardians be positive, be supportive, be fair.
